Our partnership with the singular Hotel Ritz started this spring. The guests that had opted for the weekend wine tasting package have enjoyed an escape to our village to explore the winery and the vineyards with Carlos and Estrella. The detailed information of the package can be found on the Gourmet & Wine Tour from Ritz Hotel .
The Hyundai i800 Baptized with Qubél
Our best wishes for sales success to car-maker Hyundai and their new luxury van, the i800. We contributed our grain of sand to the launching of this new model by being picked by Hyundai as the venue for the specialized press presentation. After a test drive of the i800 from Madrid to Pozuelo del Rey, the journalists had a guided tour of the winery by Carlos. After a sumptuous appetizer of ham from three different Denominacion of Origens, cheeses and Qubél wine, a lunch was served in the Enoteca. The week-long series of events was perfectly organized thanks to the collaboration of Viajes Cometa.
By the way, there are few things that taste better with a glass of Qubél than good Iberian ham. Pedro Martin collaborates with us on all things porcine. His years of experience with the proper cut, service and presentation of ham to the public makes his presence essential at the events in the Enoteca simply as a Master Slicer, or for a slicing and tasting class. Contact us for details.
A Special Visit
Mr. Mel Knight, the Energy Minister for the province of Alberta, Canada and his wife, Diane, visited us on their recent trip to Madrid. Prompted by our Canadian Importer Bid-Wine, nuestro importador en Canadá, they made time to spend with us. Representing a rural constituency in Alberta, they enjoyed seeing the rural facet of Madrid. For us, it was an opportunity to learn more about the monumental challenges that face us all in the energy sector. There are no easy answers, and for now, it looks like economy and conservation of energy use is the best place to start.
