Bulletin Qubél Autumn 2007

Bodega fachada

It is picking time, and we are having a good harvest, though somewhat atypical this year. To be specific, the low quality and quantity of our grapes, as a result a heavy storm in the month of April, has forced us to harvest friends and time instead of grapes. At the risk of seeming pedantic, our ambition for quality prevents us from making Qubél from inferior grapes, neither does it seem correct to produce Qubél with 100% purchased grapes.

What we lost in grapes, we are gaining in time and friends that maybe is equal in value to an excellent harvest of fruit. The Enoteca is in full use since September and we have already received new acquaintances from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Holland, USA, Dominican Republic and of course many from Spain. The have enjoyed spending time with us, drinking our wine and strolling through our vineyards dressed autumn colors, which currently offers the fruits of our almond, walnut trees.

By the way, have you ever given yourself the luxury of stopping everything and listening to the silence? Organizing your thoughts, refreshing your perspective, examining new ideas? Projects written on a list some time ago are now seeing the light of day, thanks to this twist in our annual routine. A good example is the face lift that the vineyard have received to make it more comfortable for our visitors.

However, there is still wine in our cellar to sell!!

To this end, we will attend the annual Wines of Madrid Wine Fair organized by the D.O. Wines of Madrid. The date is 19 of November, and we will send invitations to all shortly.

We will also be participating again this year in the Gastronomic Fair celebrated in the central plaza of La Moraleja, Madrid, November 23th to 25th.

This year, we will send our electronic Christmas Catalog along with the invitation to the Wines of Madrid Fair. Apart from the gift cases, we will offer suggestions to give the gift of a wine tasting to your  employees, best clients or, simply your friends and family.
